New features and clear improvements, release by release. The app updates itself, so you don't need to do anything.
ImprovedVersion 1.2.1
One name: Notes2ai
The app is called Notes2ai everywhere, including its file in Applications. Updating renames it for you; your notes, licence and settings stay as they are.
NewVersion 1.2.0
Try it free, and rediscover your notes
Notes2ai is free to try. Your first 30 answers and new notes are free, with no time limit, and search stays free for good.
Suggested questions now come from your own notes, as soon as they've loaded.
Turn on the daily find to get an older note that connects to something you just wrote, as a notification around the time you usually write.
A licence is $24 once and unlocks everything, with updates included.
ImprovedVersion 1.1.3
Clearer, optional permissions
Notes2ai asks for a permission only the first time you use the feature that needs it.
A short card explains what each one is for and what it doesn't do, before macOS asks.
Only Apple Notes is needed. Choose Not now for any other and only that feature stays off.
The Permissions screen shows which are on and lets you turn each one on or off.
ImprovedVersion 1.1.2
Questions from your own notes
Try asking now suggests questions based on what you've actually been writing.
Insights shows the page right away while it reads your notes.
ImprovedVersion 1.1.1
A new icon, and activation with your licence key
Notes2ai has a new icon.
The first time you open the app, it asks for the licence key from your purchase email.
The welcome tour's cards now fit their text.
NewVersion 1.1.0
Reminders and Insights
A new Reminders tab shows your week at a glance. Drag reminders onto a day, move many at once, or let Plan My Week spread the overdue ones out.
Reminders appear in search and in your answers, and you can ask to add one. You approve it first.
A new Insights tab shows charts of how you write and what you get done, with a short note on what stands out.
You can drag the window by its toolbar again, and Home fits smaller windows better.
ImprovedVersion 1.0.6
A new name and icon: Notes2ai
The app is now called Notes2ai, with a new icon: two lines of a note and a blue reply.
Nothing else changes. Your notes, settings and licence stay as they are.
ImprovedVersion 1.0.5
A new look that feels at home on your Mac
The app now uses the Mac's own toolbar and controls, with Liquid Glass on macOS 26 and later, and your Mac's accent colour.
Settings is a standard Mac settings window with tabs for General, Models, Capture, Home, Appearance and Agents.
Search results read like a Mail list, and answers point to your notes with small footnote numbers.
The note panel keeps its actions at the top; press Esc to close it.
Search and the side panel hide the preview of any note that contains a password or key.
ImprovedVersion 1.0.4
A tidier Home
Home is now a set of framed tiles. Discover leads with On this day and your recent questions beside it, and link pictures sit in their own band.
Pick up where you left off, Your lists and Saved to read are three equal tiles. It works in every design theme.
NewVersion 1.0.3
Home and Discover
A new Home page (⌘0): a greeting and search, notes to pick up where you left off, your lists, things saved to read and what you asked recently.
Discover suggests connections between recent and older notes, shows notes from this day in past years, and gives saved links a picture.
Wider layouts on big screens. Previews hide notes that contain passwords or keys.
ImprovedVersion 1.0.2
Your licence key keeps the app up to date
Paste the key from your purchase email or the thank-you page into Settings, General, Licence. The app sends it only when it downloads an update.
NewVersion 1.0.0
Version 1.0: signed, notarized, and Save as note
Signed by Wisepunk LLC and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a security warning.
Save as note (⌘S) under any answer: your question becomes the title and the notes it cited are listed as sources.
NewVersion 0.2.6
Lives in your menu bar, and captures your screen
A menu bar icon gives you capture, a note from the clipboard, a new note and dictation, even with the main window closed.
Capture what you're looking at with Control-Option-Command-N: a snapshot of the window, and of the page in a browser, becomes a clean note you review before it's saved.
A Permissions screen explains each permission the app can ask for and what it's used for.
NewVersion 0.2.5
Capture anything into a note
Drop or paste a link, text, a PDF, a Word document or an image (Shift-Command-V). The AI writes a clean note with what it is, the key points and the source, and you review it before it's saved.
Optional, off by default: new notes get a short "About the links" section once you've left them alone for ten minutes.
